When Covid-19 hit, the number of clients Chris’ company recieved dropped significantly. As a result, his work hours were severely cut. Chris was able to collect some unemployment benefits. With that, he and his wife made just barely enough to take care of their basic household expenses. Everything changed when Chris unexpectedly lost his brother and had to scrape together money to pay for his funeral arrangements. This left him and his wife unable to cover their own rent. Rappahannock United Way has covered two months of rent, so they can focus on their family during this difficult time and not worry about their bills.
