We're here to help.
The emergence and rapid spread of this virus has caused a level of disruption in our lives that none of us could imagine just a short while ago. As many of our neighbors are potentially facing financial uncertainty from loss of income due to illness or workplace closures, our focus is to be there for those who need us most. Even if only a small number of individuals contract the virus, with schools, public facilities, events, etc. shutdown, the impacts on our community will be significant.
When a crisis like this hits our community, our hardest hit neighbors are those already struggling to make ends meet – we call them ALICE – Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed. They are working hard, many of them in hourly jobs with no benefits, but their financial stability can be severely impacted by one crisis – like a missed pay check.
As we have done in the past, we will continue to provide financial assistance for those experiencing the effects of closures and missed work, particularly those in the ALICE population.
