“It is in your moments of decision that your destiny is shaped.” - Tony Robbins
Thank you for taking a moment to read this message. If I haven’t met you personally yet, please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Bobby Hebert, and I recently joined the team at Rappahannock United Way in the role of Corporate Relationship Manager. I look forward to working with you and helping your company have a successful workplace campaign. Have an idea? Need help? I am always a phone call or email away: consider me your auxiliary employee.
Today I’d like to share a few reflections on the power of choice.
The power of choice is the engine that drives our lives: what we choose to do, say, eat, read, think, who we choose to follow, and what we choose to believe. Choice really is the steering mechanism of our future.
In a few short months you will be sharing the awesome power of choice with your co-workers, during Rappahannock United Way’s fall fundraising campaign. As an Employee Campaign Coordinator, you are in a unique position of leadership in your company. People will react to your level of commitment, your decision to be passionate about creating a better community for everybody. The fact that you have chosen to care, and are now taking action will greatly affect the people around you.
I believe that generosity is contagious, that the energy of a heart on a mission jumps from person to person. It all starts with a choice. I am so glad that you chose to support Rappahannock United Way.
I will be sending bi-weekly updates from this point forward; we are going to have a great campaign season.
