Ready-for-School Drive
March - April

We need YOUR help to create Literacy Kits for local kids!
Rappahannock United Way is collecting new, age-appropriate books for four- and five-year-old students to build literacy kits for young children in our community. Literacy and early learning are critical to ensuring children are ready for kindergarten and reading at grade level by third grade. Help local students reach these important milestones by donating books or hosting a book drive of your own.

Bring together friends, neighbors, or colleagues and host a book drive at home or work. Check out these resources and tools to get started:

Literacy Kit Sort-a-Thon Event @ Rappahannock United Way
- Help assemble the literacy kits to be distributed to local children.
April – May, 2019:
Delivery and Reading Events
- Help deliver literacy kits and read with children at selected pre-schools in our region.
