Alice is a project that focuses on community members who are Asset Limited, Income Constrained, and Employed.
Local United Ways from throughout the state of Virginia have come together for the first time to produce the Virginia ALICE Report project; along with the generous financial backing from state-wide sponsors Union Bank &Trust and GEICO. On July 18, 2017, the ALICE report was published. Visit www.rappahannockunitedway.org/ALICE for the full report as well as stories and videos that will allow you to "Meet A.L.I.C.E." here in our community.
The Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) helps millions of workers here in the Fredericksburg area and across the country keep more of what they earn to pay for things like reliable transportation to get to work, housing, and food. How can you help advocate for people who are eligible for this credit?
- Advocate to expand the EITC.
- Spread the word - help families and friends connect to the EITC through our Free Tax Prep Program.
