Isabel has recently been the victim of computer error that has left her in financial crisis. When she sold her previous vehicle, the loan records weren’t updated correctly. The new owner has lapsed in his car payments – which are incorrectly made in her name. As a result, Isabel’s wages have been garnished at nearly $600 per month. Isabel is working through the courts to have the mistake fixed and should be repaid for the garnished wages in the next 30-60 days.  In the meantime, Isabel struggled to cover all of her expenses.  Rappahannock United Way through the ALICE Assistance Fund has covered this past month’s rent for her.
