Family Volunteering

Local non profit organizations and schools reported that more than 2,000 families are actively volunteering throughout the year - INCREDIBLE!!!

Family volunteering can be done by the whole family together, by one parent and one child, or teen, by siblings together or by extended family members such as grandparents, step parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and neighbors - whoever you call your family!

Benefits to volunteering as a family:

Quality time spent together

Teaches your children how to be compassionate and caring

Offers a shared sense of purpose

Brings your family closer together

Get Involved: We have lots of fun volunteer events and projects listed on our volunteer website. Dozens of local non profit organizations have listed their volunteer needs on our site for families of all ages and abilities.

Or

You can organize your own family project. Look and ask around your neighborhood, school, place of worship to see if you can helpout someone in need - do yard work at your local school, do a litter pick up around your neighborhood, run errands for an elderly neighbor.

We can help you arrange your own food or book drive, or collect items from our Agency Wish Lists. We can even arrange to bring a project such as a newsletter mailing or goodie bag stuffing project to you.
