If you are a local non profit agency (501 c 3) looking for volunteers you have come to the right place. Whether you need a regular commitment from long term volunteers or one stop help with a special project or event – we can help you find the right volunteers. Rappahannock United Way has a powerful Volunteer Website to connect the local community with the widest variety of volunteer opportunities & events. Rappahannock United Way's Volunteer Website is free to local non-profit organizations, allowing them to efficiently manage and track volunteers and promote volunteer opportunities. The system has been designed by Volunteer Centers for Volunteer Centers and is packaged with a host of support tools to ensure the promotion of quality community service experiences. Using our Volunteer Website, agencies can promote volunteer opportunities on a community calendar of events; quickly recruit volunteers for opportunities and activities, and easily run reports on community impact. Topics include staff and volunteer training, volunteer recruitment, screening, mentoring, and effective volunteer program management. You may browse through the materials at our offices at the United Way or check out anything you are interested in for two weeks.
