Day of Caring 2009 Photo Album!

16th Annual Day of Caring - September 17, 2009

Day of Caring was a one day mobilization of volunteers from the community matched with nonprofit organizations, social services and schools to complete vital projects in the Fredericksburg area.

This year we had over 375 volunteers from 21 local businesses and government agencies helping 20 area nonprofit organizations and schools.

Together the volunteers provided over 3,000 man hours to complete 56 projects that will make an amazing different to our local community. The Independent Sector currently values volunteers at the hourly rate of $20.25 - which equals a grand total of $60,750 value for Day of Caring 2009!

Caroline County Day of Caring - September 24, 2009

This was Caroline County's first Day of Caring. The Caroline County Board of Supervisors proclamated September 24, 2009 as the first ever Day of Caring solely for Caroline County.

Caroline County had over 62 volunteers providing a total of 496 man hours making a grant total of $10,044 value for the first ever Caroline Day of Caring!
